We're working hard, we're stressed, we're over-scheduled, we're running campaigns. And often, healthy food "flies out the window" and processed food creeps in.

Unfortunately, poor diets make us sick.1

Let's develop "recipes" for success: for meetings, for campaign offices, for office celebrations.

This site is crowd-sourced. Please share your ideas and stories. Share what works, and share your cautionary tales! From there, we'll develop toolkits, budgets, shopping lists and strategies for getting the junk food out of the workplace.

This resource will grow over time. Please join us in building this project.

News:

  • Meeting with Illustrator this week. Please tell @no_donuts what you'd like to have illustrated
  • Co-led terrific RootsCamp session with Julielyn Gibbons, of Democracy for America
  • Yay! NoDonuts.org now has several dozen participants
  • Wrote to recipe author requesting permission to use quick recipes in "Campaign Cookbook."

This is great! We are totally on board and feed
Our paid daily team locally made food (from small shops owned by poc), bring in organic fruit and snacks. It costs more, but the quality of the teams work is enhanced by nutritious food.

Our staff is also running in the Oakland Running festival and we have staff runs, during work hours so that everyone has “time” to exercise. It’s making a huge difference in staff moods and moral during Campaign-prep. We hope to keep it goIng through the cycles this year.

Love this. Junk food should not be the to go-to food on campaigns. Humus and carrots are a staple at the offices of Progressive Congress.

Hey Julielyn! We folks at the Eating Disorder Activist Network would love to get involved! Let us know how we can help! Between us we have dieticians, therapist, yoga people and many people trying to make this world a healthy place to live in.

Great idea. Love your philosophy. My strategy is to try to only eat food made by people I know.
